Al-nahl 7 of 16
۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 And whatsoever of favour is with you is from Allah; then when distress toucheth you, unto Him ye cry out. 53 Then, when He removes the affliction from you, lo, a party of you assign associates to their Lord, 54 (As if) to show their ingratitude for the favours we have bestowed on them! then enjoy (your brief day): but soon will ye know (your folly)! 55 And they assign to what they do not know a portion of that which We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be questioned about what you used to invent. 56 They assign daughters to Allah - glory be to Him - whereas they assign to themselves what they truly desire! 57 When the birth of a girl is announced to any of them, his face darkens and he is filled with gloom. 58 He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that whereof he has been informed. Shall he keep her with dishonour or bury her in the earth? Certainly, evil is their decision. 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and for Allah is the sublime similitude, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
