The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger sent to you. 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am naught but a plain warner. 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
