Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 He will be plunged in flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
