The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 and guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
