The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 Indeed, it will be but one shout, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
