And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 We said to Him, "Take a handful of twigs in your hand and strike with that but do not break your oath." We found him steadfast. What an excellent servant! He turned constantly to his Lord. 44 AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision: 45 Indeed, We purified them with a most pure quality, the remembrance of the Everlasting Life. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And remember Isma'il (Ishmael), Al-Yasa'a (Elisha), and Dhul-Kifl (Isaiah), all are among the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Gardens of Eternity, whose doors will (ever) be open to them; 50 Reclining within them, they will call therein for abundant fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 There will be boiling water for them and cold, clammy, fetid drink to taste, 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
