In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 A Book whose verses have been distinguished and explained, a lucid discourse for people who understand, 3 It bears glad tidings and a warning, yet most of them turn away and do not listen. 4 and so they say, [as it were:] "Our hearts are veiled from whatever thou callest us to, [O Muhammad,] and in our ears is deafness, and between us and thee is a barrier. Do, then, [whatever thou wilt, whereas,] behold, we shall do [as we have always done]!" 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers. 7 "The ones who believe and perform good deeds shall have a reward which will never be withheld from them." 8
