The News (Al-Naba')
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Concerning what are they disputing? 1 About the great event, 2 About which they have been differing? 3 But they will soon come to know. 4 Again, no indeed; they shall soon know! 5 Have We not spread the earth like a bed, 6 and the mountains [its] pegs? 7 Have We not created you in pairs, 8 And We made your sleep to be rest (to you), 9 and the night as a cover, 10 And We made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong ones, 12 And have kept a very bright lamp in it. 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations, 15 And dense gardens. 16 Surely the Day of Judgement has an appointed time; 17 The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds; 18 And the heaven will have been opened, and it will have become doors. 19 and the mountains will be set in motion and become a mirage. 20 Verily the Hell is an ambuscade: 21 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.), 22 Where they will remain for aeons, 23 Neither coolness shall they taste therein nor any [thirst-quenching] drink 24 except boiling water and pus, 25 a fitting requital, 26 Indeed they had no fear of the account. 27 But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false. 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." 30
