(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 Moses said: "Even if I were to bring a Clear Sign to you?" 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 (No sooner had he said this than) Moses threw down his rod and behold, it was a veritable serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
