۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Fir'awn sent unto the cities callers: 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 but they are indeed filled with hatred of us 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 Even so. And We caused the Children of Isra'il to inherit them. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, those with Moses said: Lo! we are indeed caught. 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 and We saved Moses and those who were with him together, 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
