The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 As they sat around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
