Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
