۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities, 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 but they are indeed filled with hatred of us 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 Even so. And We caused the Children of Isra'il to inherit them. 59 At sunrise, they followed them. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 and We delivered Moses and those with him all together; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
