So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
