The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And the morning when it brightens, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then will you go? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
