۞ Now when Moses had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he perceived a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; I hope to bring you from there some information, or a burning firebrand, that ye may warm yourselves." 29 When he drew near, a voice called out to him from the tree on the blessed spot on the right side of the valley: "O Moses, I am verily God, the Lord of all the worlds. 30 He received the command: "Throw away your rod!" But when he saw the rod writhing as though it were a serpent, he turned back in retreat, and did not even look behind. (He was told): "O Moses, go ahead and have no fear. You are perfectly secure. 31 Enter your hand into the opening of your bosom, it will come forth white without evil, and draw your hand to yourself to ward off fear: so these two shall be two arguments from your Lord to Firon and his chiefs, surely they are a transgressing people. 32 He said: My Lord! surely I killed one of them, so I fear lest they should slay me; 33 My brother Aaron is more fluent than I am. Send him with me to assist me and express my truthfulness; I am afraid they will reject me". 34 Said He, 'We will strengthen thy arm by means of thy brother, and We shall appoint. to you an authority, so that they shall not reach you because of Our signs; you, and whoso follows you, shall be the victors.' 35 But when Moses came unto them with Our clear tokens, they said: This is naught but invented magic. We never heard of this among our fathers of old. 36 And Musa said: My Lord best knoweth him who bringeth guidance from before Him and him whose will be the happy end of the Abode. Verily the wrong-doers shall not thrive. 37 'Assembly' said Pharaoh, 'I do not know that you have any god except me' 'O Haman, kindle a fire upon clay and make me a tower so that I can climb to see the God of Moses, I think that he is one of the liars' 38 And he and his hosts were arrogant in the land, without right, and they thought that they would never return to Us. 39 Eventually We seized him and his hosts and We flung them into the sea. So do see the end of the wrong-doers! 40 And we made them (but) leaders inviting to the Fire; and on the Day of Judgment no help shall they find. 41 in this world We made a curse to follow them and on the Day of Judgment they will be among the loathed (and despised). 42
