The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Recite in the name of your Lord Who created, 1 created man from a clot of congealed blood. 2 Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 No! [But] indeed, man transgresses 6 As he considers himself independent! 7 Surely! Unto your Lord is the return. 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 a worshiper when he prays. 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Does he not know that God observes all things? 14 Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
