The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

WHEN THE EARTH quakes with her [last] mighty quaking, 1 and earth brings forth her burdens, 2 And man enquires: "What has come over it?" 3 That Day, it will report its news 4 For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. 5 That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds. 6 So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 7 and he who shall have done an atom's weight of evil, shall behold it. 8
