And kill not your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them and for you. Surely, the killing of them is a great sin. 31 And approach not fornication; surely it is an indecency, and evil as a way. 32 And slay not the life which Allah hath forbidden save with right. Whoso is slain wrongfully, We have given power unto his heir, but let him not commit excess in slaying. Lo! he will be helped. 33 And do not touch the substance of an orphan, save to improve it, before he comes of age. And be true to every promise - for, verily, [on Judgment Day] you will be called to account for every promise which you have made! 34 While weighing, use proper measurements in the exchange of your property. This is fair and will be better in the end. 35 And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned. 36 (xiv) Do not strut about in the land arrogantly. Surely you cannot cleave the earth, nor reach the heights of the mountains in stature. 37 The evil of all that is hateful in the sight of thy Lord. 38 This is part of the wisdom that your Lord has revealed to you. Do not set up any other deity with God, lest you be cast into Hell, condemned and rejected. 39 What! Has your Lord then favoured you with sons and Himself adopted females from among the angels?
