The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 surely your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 they cannot overhear the Higher Assembly for they are pelted from every side, 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected. 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
