Elucidated (Fussilat)

54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Ha Mim 1 This is a revelation from the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 who pay not the alms, and disbelieve in the world to come. 7 For those who believe and work deeds of righteousness is a reward that will never fail. 8
