▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 that this is indeed a noble Quran, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
