The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 who turn away from idle talk; 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And who guard their private organs. 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 who shall inherit Paradise therein dwelling forever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
