And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And We chose them, purposely, above (all) creatures. 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not. 39 Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them,- 40 The day on which, no friends will benefit each other at all, nor will they be helped. (Except those who are pious – see verse 43:67) 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
