Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Abundance diverts you, 1 Until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 You will be shown hell 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
