Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 Turned aside therefrom (i.e. from Muhammad SAW and the Quran) is he who is turned aside (by the Decree and Preordainment of Allah). 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 taking whatsoever their Lord has given them; they were good-doers before that. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and in their wealth there was a rightful share for him who would ask and for the destitute. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
