The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Yet the unbelievers still belie, 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
