Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up of worldly things diverts you, 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the sight of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
