Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 Do they say, "He has invented it himself."? No indeed! It is the truth from your Lord to warn a people to whom, before you, no warner came, so that hopefully they may be rightly guided. 3 Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, in six Days. Then He mounted the Throne. Ye have not, beside Him, a protecting friend or mediator. Will ye not then remember? 4 He arranges (every) affair from the heavens to the earth, then it (affair) will go up to Him, in one Day, the space whereof is a thousand years of your reckoning (i.e. reckoning of our present world's time). 5 Such is He who knows all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception, as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind: the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 6 Who made all things He created excellent; and first fashioned man from clay, 7 then He fashioned his progeny of an extraction of mean water, 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 9 For, [many are] they [who] say: "What! After we have been [dead and] lost in the earth, shall we indeed be [restored to life] in a new act of creation?" Nay, but [by saying this] they deny the truth that they are destined to meet their Sustainer! 10 ۞ Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned." 11
