Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 noble, recording, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
