And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 and [sees] thy behaviour among those who prostrate themselves [before Him]: 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
