Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
