Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an... 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We know what the earth consumes of them, for We have the Book that preserves everything. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered spathes; 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
