Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? 24 When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me," 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: fear not. And they gave him the tidings of a youth knowing. 28 So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” 29 They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' 30 ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! 31 They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); 32 So as to let loose clods of clay on them 33 Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." 34 So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, 35 But did not find more than a single family of believers. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the afflictive torment. 37 And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. 38 The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". 39 So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. 40 In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, 41 which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. 42 And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. 45 And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. 46
