Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 Labouring, striving hard. 3 roasting at a scorching fire, 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 With their effort [they are] satisfied 9 In a Garden on high, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 And cups set at hand. 14 and cushions arrayed 15 and outspread carpets. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 and on the sky, how it is raised aloft, 18 and how the mountains were firmly fixed? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Indeed only towards Us is their return 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
