Aaron had indeed told them earlier: "O my people, you are being only misled with this. Surely your Lord is Ar-Rahman. So follow me and obey my command." 90 'We will not cease,' they said, 'to cleave to it, until Moses returns to us.') 91 He (Moses) said: O Aaron! What held thee back when thou didst see them gone astray, 92 "That you followed me not (according to my advice to you)? Have you then disobeyed my order?" 93 Aaron answered: "Son of my mother! Do not seize me with my beard, nor by (the hair of) my head. I feared that on returning you might say: 'You sowed discord among the Children of Israel, and did not pay heed to my words.'" 94 Moses said: "What, then, is your case, O Samiri?" 95 He answered: "I saw what the people did not see. So I took a handful of dust from the trail of the Messenger, and I flung it (into the fire). Thus did my mind prompt me." 96 Musa (Moses) said: "Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: "Touch me not (i.e. you will live alone exiled away from mankind); and verily (for a future torment), you have a promise that will not fail. And look at your ilah (god), to which you have been devoted. We will certainly burn it, and scatter its particles in the sea." 97 Your only deity is God, there is no deity but Him. His knowledge encompasses all things." 98 Thus do We relate to you (some) of the news of what has gone before; and indeed We have given to you a Reminder from Ourselves. 99 Whoever disregards (the Quran) will be heavily burdened with sin on the Day of Judgment 100 which they shall bear forever. It will be a grievous burden for them on the Day of Judgement, 101 On the day when the Trumpet is blown and We shall assemble the guilty on that day, blue -eyed. 102 Whispering to one another: "You have tarried but ten days." 103 We know best what they say. The moderate ones among them will say, "You did not live on earth for more than a day." 104
