۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 None touch it except the purified. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
