Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ SAY: "I HAVE been informed that a number of jinns had listened; then said: 'We have heard the wondrous Qur'an, 1 It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. 2 And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son 3 and that “the foolish among us have been wont to say outrageous things about Allah”; 4 and that “we had thought that men and jinn would never speak a lie about Allah”, 5 'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief. 6 Like you, they thought that Allah would never raise the dead. 7 'And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 And we know not whether evil is boded for those who are on the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth for them a right direction. 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 ‘And that when we heard the guidance, we accepted faith in it; so whoever accepts faith in his Lord, has no fear – neither of any loss nor of any injustice.’ 13 And of us some are Muslims, and of us some are deviators. Then whosoever hath embraced Islam - such have endeavoured after a path of rectitude. 14 but as for those who have deviated, they have become firewood for Gehenna!"' 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 so that We might try them through this bounty. Whoso turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to suffer a grievous chastisement; 17 And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah. 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
