VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 and they will be told to enter there in peace and safety. 46 And We shall purge their breasts of all traces of rancour; and they shall be seated on couches facing one another as brothers. 47 No weariness will come upon them, nor will they be sent away from there. 48 ۞ Tell My servants that I alone am the Forgiving, the Merciful One, 49 and that My punishment is a painful punishment. 50 And tell them of Abraham's guests, 51 When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you." 52 They said: Be not afraid, surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge. 53 He said, 'What, do you give me good tidings, though old age has smitten me? Of what do you 54 They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." 55 Abraham said: "Who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except the misguided?" 56 He said: what is your errand, sent ones? 57 They replied: 'We are sent to sinful nation. 58 barring Lot's household, all of whom, behold, we shall save 59 Except his wife, of whom We had decreed that she should be of those who stay behind. 60

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
