T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 A revelation from Him who created the earth and the high ascending skies, 4 The Most Gracious Who, befitting His Majesty, took to the Throne (of control). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 Whether you say a thing aloud or inaudibly, He has knowledge of the secret and the hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 Verily I! I am Allah! no God there is but I; so worship Me, and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
