Remind them, therefore, that by the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor possessed. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say thou: "Wait, [then,] hopefully; behold, I, too, shall hopefully wait with you!" 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the treasurers? 37 Have they a ladder up to heaven by means of which they can overhear? Then let their listeners bring a clear proof. 38 Does God have daughters while you have sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god other than God? Exalted be God over what they ascribe as partners [to Him]! 43 And if they were to see a piece of the heaven falling down, they would say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!" 44 Wherefore let them alone, till they meet their Day whereon they shall swoon. 45 and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped. 46 For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
