It is He who sends down water from heaven, which provides drink for you and brings forth trees on which your herds feed. 10 and thereby He brings forth for you crops, and olives, and palms, and vines, and all manner of fruit. Surely in that is a sign for a people who reflect. 11 He has subjected for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon and the stars have also been made subservient by His command. Surely there are Signs in this for those who use their reason. 12 And other things of different shades has He produced on the earth for you. In this are signs for those who reflect. 13 And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty and that haply ye may give thanks. 14 And He placed mountains as anchors in the earth so that it may not shake along with you, and streams and roads for you to find course. 15 and He has set up other landmarks. By these and by the stars people set their course. 16 IS, THEN, HE who creates comparable to any [being] that cannot create? Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 17 If you count God's blessing, you will never number it; surely God is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. 18 God knows what you hide and disclose. 19 And those they invoke other than Allah create nothing, and they [themselves] are created. 20 They are, [in fact], dead, not alive, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected. 21
