۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 They announced “These people are a small group.” 54 and they have enraged us, 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 Then We drave them forth from gardens and springs. 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 and We saved Moses and all who were with him, 65 then, We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
