The Creator of the heavens and the earth -- how should He have a son, seeing that He has no consort, and He created all things, and He has knowledge of everything? 101 That is Allah, your Lord! there is no god but He, the Creator of all things: then worship ye Him: and He hath power to dispose of all affairs. 102 No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things. 103 (Muhammad), tell them, "Clear proofs have certainly come to you from your Lord. Whoever tries to understand it will gain much but those who ignore it will only harm themselves. I am not (supposed) to watch over you (all the time)". 104 This is how We explain Our revelations in various ways -- so that they might come to the point of saying, "You have read this out to us," and that We might make it clear [that this is the truth] to those who are eager to know. 105 Follow what is divinely revealed to you from your Lord; there is none worthy of worship except Him; and turn away from the polytheists. 106 Had God wanted, they would not consider anything equal to Him. God has not appointed you to watch over them nor are you their guardian. 107 Revile not those whom they invoke besides Allah, lest they may spitefully revile Allah without knowledge. Thus fair-seeming unto every community We have made their work. Then unto their Lord is their return, and then He will declare unto them that which they were wont to work. 108 And they swore by Allah vehemently in their oaths that if any sign came to them, they will certainly believe in it; say, “The signs are with Allah, and what do you people know that if they came to them, they will not believe.” 109 We confound their hearts and their eyes. As they believed not therein at the first, We let them wander blindly on in their contumacy. 110
