Mention in the Book Abraham; He was truthful and a Prophet. 41 [Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all? 42 “O my father, indeed a knowledge has come to me which did not come to you – therefore follow me, I will show you the Straight Path.” 43 "O my father! Worship not Shaitan (Satan). Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has been a rebel against the Most Beneficent (Allah). 44 Father, I fear that some chastisement from the All-merciful will smite thee, so that thou becomest a friend to Satan. 45 He said, “What! You turn away from my Gods, O Ibrahim? If you do not desist, I will certainly stone you, and keep no relation with me for a long while.” 46 He said: Peace be on you, I will pray to my Lord to forgive you; surely He is ever Affectionate to me: 47 And I will withdraw from you and what you call on besides Allah, and I will call upon my Lord; may be I shall not remain unblessed in calling upon my Lord. 48 When (Abraham) rejected his people and what they worshipped instead of God, We gave him Isaac and Jacob and made both of them Prophets. 49 and We gave them of Our mercy, and We appointed unto them a tongue of truthfulness, sublime. 50
