(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 "And let him share my task (of conveying Allah's Message and Prophethood), 32 so that we may glorify 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 Answered He: "Fear not! Verily, I shall be with you two, hearing and seeing [all]. 46 Both of you go to him (Pharaoh) and say: "We are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel depart with us, and do not punish them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; peace be on him who follows guidance! 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 He then asked, "What do you know about the past generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
