To whosoever blinds himself from the Remembrance of the Merciful, We shall assign him a satan so he is his companion, 36 Satan will prevent them from the right path while they think that they have the right guidance. 37 Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade! 38 When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment! 39 What, will you make the deaf hear, or guide the blind and he who is in clear error? 40 Even if We take you away, We shall take vengeance upon them, 41 and whether We show thee [or do not show thee in this world] the fulfillment of what We have promised them - verily, We have full power over them! 42 Therefore, hold fast to that which is revealed to you, indeed, you are on the Straight Path. 43 And verily, this (the Quran) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it). 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
