The warnings came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 What then, are your unbelievers better than those? Or do you have an immunity (written) in the Scrolls? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Indeed, the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Last Hour will be the most severe, and the most bitter. 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And all what they did is in the Books. 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
