Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
