Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision: 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 Such is their noble story. The pious ones will certainly have the best place to return. 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 Yea, such! but - for the wrong-doers will be an evil place of (Final) Return!- 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This is for the criminals – so that they may taste it – boiling hot water and pus. 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 This is a crowd rushing in along with you; no welcome for them; verily they are to roast in the Fire. 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
